Hurricane Harvey has devastated our community, leaving us with a long road to recovery but we will make it. During this time of rebuild we have decided to cancel the annual United Way Campaign Kick Off. We will hold a celebration at a later date to acknowledge the strength of our community during this time.
United Way MSJC has been an active partner in the response to Harvey. We have coordinated supplies from across the nation through the United Way Network. Those donations have helped support the City distribution centers and our funded programs. We have also served as information and referral to our citizens and worked with our partner agencies. We are a vital part of the community, especially during these times. Moving forward, we will continue to work with service providers and assist those agencies providing services to the community in addition to our direct services. If you would like to be a part of the Hurricane Harvey Recovery please consider our Relief Fund a www.unitedwaymsjc.org.
The Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund of the United Way of Mid & South Jefferson County will support our local community only. No administrative cost will be taken from the fund so that we can use 100% for our community. The United Way of Mid & South Jefferson County is blessed to have corporate partners that support our organization so that 100% of every dollar given goes to programs, not the United Way. That is possible because corporate gifts provide our operating cost; they believe in our mission and community.
Thank you for b eing a part of the team and working to build a better, stronger tomorrow!
