Community Investment Grant

2012-2013 Community Investment Grant Application Request for Proposal

This is a very exciting year for the United Way of Mid & South Jefferson County. This coming January we will introduce a completely new application and funding process that will carry the Community Impact movement to the next step. In our new business model, United Way uses both the traditional “direct impact” approach and the new “community impact” approach to improving lives. Community impact illustrates the concept of community change including the societal changes in personal networks, neighborhood environments, organizations, and community systems. United Way remains focused on conditions that contribute to community issues and our commitment to engaging individuals, networks, organizations, and systems to address those conditions.

The United Way is currently accepting letters of interest from those organizations that are not currently associated and receiving funding. Letters of interest  should include an introduction of programs for which funding is sought and the organization seeking the funds.  The applicant requirements and general information can be found HERE. Agencies currently partnered will receive an invitation to attend the January Community Investment Grant Training without needing to submit a letter of interest.
